Women Warriors' Healing Garden

Based in Ottawa, the Women Warrior Healing Garden offers peer-support, counseling, and education to women living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in a safe, supportive environment.
During late Spring and Summer, members plant and maintain a vegetable garden. The produce is then donated to an area women’s drop-in centre in the Fall. In the Winter, members give back by teaching canning, gardening, and food security, as well as engaging the broader community with education and awareness about living with PTSD.
Through this continuous cycle of engagement with nature, community, and peers, The Women Warriors’ Healing Garden promotes an ecosystem of care for women living with the challenges of PTSD.
