ON REMEMBRANCE DAY...
Where should I sit?
Who should I remember?
Who should I thank?
I know this day isn't about me. I want to commemorate. I know it's important to remember the fallen, but I have lots of questions during this time. My first question is usually..."Where should I sit?".
- A survivor of military sexual trauma.
- Next to my husband, as a military spouse?
- With Veterans?
- With civil society?
- I come across former colleagues or Veterans who hurt me ?
- Someone is asking about my medals or my service?
- Someone is thanking me?
- Someone ask all veterans to gather for a picture or to stand up?
